Abstract
PURPOSE: For correct air to fuel ratio judgement, means are provided for a delay circuit which delayedly outputs air-to-fuel ratio sensor voltage variation, a comparator circuit using such output as comparative level, and a switch circuit to change by a specified valve the comparative level.
CONSTITUTION: Stepwise change with boundary of a specified air-to-ratio of the air- to-fuel-ratio-sensor 10 resistance is used. This change is outputted as the variation of sensor terminal voltage Vs by constant current fed from delayed circuit 20. The output voltage becomes delayed voltage signal VB and fed to the comparator circuit as comparative level. When exhaust gas temperature change causes the sensor terminal voltage Vs to change, delay output follows. This permits the comparative circuit 30 to always judge whether air-to-fuel is above or below the specified value. When fuel stops, high level signal from the fuel-stop instruction circuit 60 is fed into the comparative level switch circuit 70, and comparative level of the comparative circuit 30 becomes a constant valve Vc determined by resistance 706, 708. Also in this case air-to-fuel ratio can be judged.
