Abstract
PURPOSE: To stably control the air fuel ratio when comparing the output voltage of an oxygen sensor with a reference voltage to convert the output voltage into a signal of high or low level to control the quantity of supplied fuel or air, by providing delay circuits of different lag times corresponding to the high and low levels.
CONSTITUTION: The reference voltage Vset is set to be a voltage V2 which is not affected by the deterioration of the oxygen sensor 1. A first delay circuit is composed of a resistor 4, a capacitor 5 and an amplifier 8 to eliminate noises and obtain the same characteristics as when the reference voltage Vset of a comparator circuit is set to be a high voltage V1 corresponding to a high purifying ratio althought the reference voltage is actually set to be low voltage V2. The lag time of the first delay circuit is set to be 200 milliseconds, for example. A second delay circuit is composed of a capacitor 9, a resistor 10 and an amplifier 12 to prevent the wrong control due to noises. The lag time of the second delay circuit is set to be 5 milliseconds, for example. The lag times of the delay circuits are different from each other depending on the high and low levels. Thus, the air fuel ratio is stably controlled.
