Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Imidazolecarboxylic esters of formula I (R is lower alkyl; n is 7 - 20).
EXAMPLE: 1-(7-Ethoxycarbonylheptyl)imidazole.
USE: Said derivative has activities inhibiting the biosynthesis of thrmoboxane A2 and effective on diseases caused by thromboxane A2 as inflammation, hyperpiesia, thrombosis, cerebral hemorrhage, and asthma.
PREPARATION: A compound of formula II is added to a solution or suspension containing equimolar quantity of a base under stirring with heating and then 0.9 - 1 mole, based on the compound of formula II, of a compound of formula III is added to the mixture to effect the reaction by heating at 50 - 150°C.
