Description
Claims (14)
- トルクコンバータであって、
インペラシェルを有するインペラと、
タービンシェルを有するタービンと、
軸方向で前記タービンと前記インペラとの間に位置するステータであって、前記インペラと前記ステータとの間に第1の流体流が発生し、前記タービンと前記ステータとの間に第2の流体流が発生する、ステータと、
軸方向で前記インペラと前記ステータとの間にあるか、又は軸方向で前記タービンと前記ステータとの間にあるスラスト軸受であって、該スラスト軸受は軸受面を有し、該軸受面は、前記トルクコンバータの運転中に、前記第1の流体流の領域又は前記第2の流体流の領域で前記軸受面上に流体力学的膜が維持されるように配置され構成されている、スラスト軸受と、
を備え、
前記スラスト軸受は複数の周方向部分を有しており、該周方向部分はそれぞれ、前記スラスト軸受の内周面から前記スラスト軸受の外周面へと延在する溝を含む第1の部分と、一様の厚さの平坦面を含む第2の部分と、周方向で前記溝と前記平坦面との間に位置するテーパ面を含む第3の部分とを含んでおり、前記第3の部分の厚さは、前記テーパ面が前記平坦面から前記溝へと周方向で延びるにつれ徐々に減じられており、
前記平坦面は、前記スラスト軸受の前記第2の部分に形成されたスロット内に設けられた耐摩耗性材料によって形成されている、トルクコンバータ。 - 前記第2の部分は第1の周方向長さを有していて、前記第3の部分は第2の周方向長さを有しており、前記第1の周方向長さは前記第2の周方向長さよりも短い、請求項1記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記第2の部分と前記第3の部分とは一緒に、総周方向長さをなしていて、前記第1の周方向長さは前記総周方向長さの20%〜30%であって、前記第2の周方向長さは、前記総周方向長さの70%〜80%である、請求項2記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記耐摩耗性材料は、前記スロット内に感圧接着剤を介して取り付けられている、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記耐摩耗性材料はプラスチックである、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記プラスチックは、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン又はポリアミドイミドである、請求項5記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記スラスト軸受は、前記ステータに一体に形成されている、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載のトルクコンバータ。
- トルクコンバータを形成する方法であって、
軸方向でインペラとステータとの間にある第1の流体流の領域に、又は軸方向でタービンと前記ステータとの間にある第2の流体流の領域に、スラスト軸受面を設け、これによって前記トルクコンバータの運転中に、前記第1の流体流の領域又は前記第2の流体流の領域で、前記スラスト軸受面上に流体流が流体力学的膜を維持するようにすることを含み、
前記スラスト軸受面はスラスト軸受に形成されており、前記スラスト軸受は複数の周方向部分を有しており、該周方向部分はそれぞれ、前記スラスト軸受の内周面から前記スラスト軸受の外周面へと延在する溝を含む第1の部分と、一様の厚さの平坦面を含む第2の部分と、周方向で前記溝と前記平坦面との間に位置するテーパ面を含む第3の部分とを含んでおり、前記第3の部分の厚さは、前記テーパ面が前記平坦面から前記溝へと周方向で延びるにつれ徐々に減じられており、
スロットを形成するために前記スラスト軸受の前記第2の部分にスロットを機械加工し、前記平坦面を形成するために前記スロット内に耐摩耗性材料を設けることをさらに含む、トルクコンバータを形成する方法。 - 前記第2の部分は第1の周方向長さを有しており、前記第3の部分は第2の周方向長さを有しており、前記第1の周方向長さは、前記第2の周方向長さよりも短い、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記第2の部分と前記第3の部分とは一緒に、総周方向長さをなしていて、前記第1の周方向長さは前記総周方向長さの20%〜30%であって、前記第2の周方向長さは、前記総周方向長さの70%〜80%である、請求項9記載の方法。
- 前記スロットに耐摩耗性材料を設けるステップは、感圧接着剤を介して前記耐摩耗性材料を取り付けることを含む、請求項8から10までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記耐摩耗性材料はプラスチックである、請求項8から11までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記プラスチックは、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン又はポリアミドイミドである、請求項12記載の方法。
- 前記ステータに、又は前記インペラに、又は前記タービンに前記スラスト軸受面を形成することをさらに含む、請求項8から13までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
