Description
Lia(NixCoyMez)2−aO2
12μmの平均粒径を有するリチウム複合酸化物であるLiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 100gに、5μmの平均粒径を有する硫酸リチウム(Li2SO4)0.5gを付加して混合し、これを撹拌した。
熱処理温度が800℃から、900℃に変更されたことを除いては、製造例1と同じ方法によって正極活物質を製造した。
熱処理温度が800℃から、750℃に変更されたことを除いては、製造例1と同じ方法によって正極活物質を製造した。
熱処理温度が800℃から、950℃に変更されたことを除いては、製造例1と同じ方法によって正極活物質を製造した。
Li2SO4の含有量が0.1gに変更されたことを除いては、製造例1と同じ方法によって正極活物質を製造した。
熱処理温度が800℃から、850℃に変更されたことを除いては、製造例1と同じ方法によって正極活物質を製造した。
熱処理温度が800℃から、1,000℃に変更されたことを除いては、製造例1と同じ方法によって正極活物質を製造した。
熱処理温度が800℃から、650℃に変更されたことを除いては、製造例1と同じ方法によって正極活物質を製造した。
製造例1による正極活物質4.75g、ポリフッ化ビニリデン0.15g及びカーボンブラック0.15gを、N−メチルピロリドン2.5gに分散させ、正極活物質層形成用の組成物を製造した。
正極製造時、製造例1によって製造された正極活物質の代わりに、製造例2ないし6によって製造された正極活物質を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同じ方法によってリチウム二次電池を製造した。
正極活物質として、製造例1の正極活物質の代わりに、リチウム複合酸化物であるLi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同じ方法によってリチウム二次電池を製造した。
正極活物質として、製造例1の正極活物質の代わりに、比較製造例1の正極活物質を使用した使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同じ方法によってリチウム二次電池を製造した。
正極活物質として、製造例1の正極活物質の代わりに、比較製造例2の正極活物質を使用した使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同じ方法によってリチウム二次電池を製造した。
60℃で、0.1C充電及び放電を実施した後、0.5C充電後に高温で10−15日放置した後、放電容量を測定して評価する。
60℃で、0.1C充電及び放電を実施した後、0.5C充電後に高温で10−15日放置した後、充放電容量を測定して評価する。

Claims (9)
- 2個以上の一次粒子の凝集体を含む少なくとも一つの二次粒子、及び前記一次粒子の隣接する界面に介在される非晶質物質を含み、
前記一次粒子は、リチウム複合酸化物を含み、
前記非晶質物質は、リチウム塩を含み、
前記リチウム塩の含有量は、前記リチウム複合酸化物100重量部を基準として、0.01ないし2重量部であり、
前記一次粒子の平均粒径は、0.2ないし3μmであり、
前記二次粒子の平均粒径は、10ないし15μmであり、
前記リチウム複合酸化物と前記リチウム塩との混合物を熱処理して、該リチウム塩により前記一次粒子の隣接する界面に前記非晶質物質を形成させるための温度を800ないし900℃とすることを特徴とするリチウム電池用正極活物質。 - 前記リチウム塩は、
硫酸リチウム、硝酸リチウム、炭酸リチウムまたは水酸化リチウムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム電池用正極活物質。 - 前記リチウム複合酸化物が、
下記化学式1で表示される化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム電池用正極活物質:

Lia(NixCoyMez)2−aO2
前記化学式中、0.5≦x≦1、0≦y≦0.5、0<z≦0.5、0.90<a≦1.15であり、Meは、アルミニウム(Al)、マンガン(Mn)、チタン(Ti)及びカルシウム(Ca)からなる群から選択される。 - 0.5≦x≦0.6、0.1≦y≦0.3、0.2≦z≦0.3、0.90<a≦1.0であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のリチウム電池用正極活物質。
- 前記リチウム複合酸化物が、
LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2またはLiNi0.6CO0.2Mn0.2O2であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のリチウム電池用正極活物質。 - リチウム複合酸化物にリチウム塩を混合して撹拌し、リチウム複合酸化物とリチウム塩との混合物を形成する段階と、
前記混合物を800ないし900℃で熱処理する段階と、を含み、
前記リチウム複合酸化物は、2個以上の一次粒子の凝集体を含み、
前記リチウム塩により、前記一次粒子の隣接する界面に非晶質物質が形成され、
前記リチウム塩の含有量は、前記リチウム複合酸化物100重量部を基準として、0.01ないし2重量部であり、
前記一次粒子の平均粒径は、0.2ないし3μmであり、
二次粒子の平均粒径は、10ないし15μmであることを特徴とするリチウム電池用正極活物質の製造方法。 - 前記リチウム複合酸化物が、
下記化学式1で表示される化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載のリチウム電池用正極活物質の製造方法:

前記化学式中、0.5≦x≦1、0≦y≦0.5、0<z≦0.5、0.90<a≦1.15であり、Meは、アルミニウム(Al)、マンガン(Mn)、チタン(Ti)及びカルシウム(Ca)からなる群から選択される。 - 2個以上の一次粒子の凝集体と非晶質物質とを含む少なくとも1つの二次粒子と、前記一次粒子の隣接する界面に介在される非晶質物質とを含み、
前記一次粒子は、リチウム複合酸化物を含み、
前記非晶質物質は、リチウム塩を含み、
前記リチウム塩の含有量は、前記リチウム複合酸化物100重量部を基準として、0.01ないし2重量部であり、
前記一次粒子の平均粒径は、0.2ないし3μmであり、
前記二次粒子の平均粒径は、10ないし15μmであり、
前記リチウム複合酸化物と前記リチウム塩との混合物を熱処理して、該リチウム塩により前記一次粒子の隣接する界面に前記非晶質物質を形成させるための温度を800ないし900℃とすることを特徴とするリチウム電池用正極活物質を含有する正極。 - 2個以上の一次粒子の凝集体と非晶質物質とを含む少なくとも1つの二次粒子を含み、
前記一次粒子は、リチウム複合酸化物を含むリチウム電池用正極活物質を含有する正極と、
負極活物質を含む負極と、
前記正極と負極との間に介在されたセパレータと、を含み、
前記非晶質物質は、前記一次粒子の隣接する界面に介在され、さらにリチウム塩を含み、
前記リチウム塩の含有量は、前記リチウム複合酸化物100重量部を基準として、0.01ないし2重量部であり、
前記一次粒子の平均粒径は、0.2ないし3μmであり、
前記二次粒子の平均粒径は、10ないし15μmであり、
前記リチウム複合酸化物と前記リチウム塩との混合物を熱処理して、該リチウム塩により前記一次粒子の隣接する界面に前記非晶質物質を形成させるための温度を800ないし900℃とすることを特徴とするリチウム電池。
