Claims (4)
- 電解質の両側に一対の電極を配設したn個(nは偶数)の電解質・電極構造体と、各電解質・電極構造体と交互に積層される(n+1)個の波板状セパレータとを有し、前記電解質膜・電極構造体が前記波板状セパレータの前記電解質・電極構造体に向かう各凸状部に当接されることで燃料ガス又は酸化剤ガスのいずれかである反応ガスを電極面に沿って前記波板状セパレータの面方向に流す反応ガス流路が形成された複数の発電ユニットを備え、前記発電ユニットの間に冷却媒体流路が形成された燃料電池スタックであって、
前記電解質・電極構造体を挟んで隣接する前記波板状セパレータは、当該電解質・電極構造体に接触する前記凸状部の頂部同士が積層方向に重なり合って当該電解質・電極構造体を挟持し、
前記発電ユニットの積層方向一端に配置される第1端部波板状セパレータは、前記冷却媒体流路を形成する第1凹部と、前記電解質・電極構造体から離間する方向に突出する第1凸状部とを交互に有し、前記第1凹部と前記第1凸状部は、前記反応ガスの流通方向に延在し、且つ断面視で前記第1凹部の底部と前記第1凸状部の頂部間を結ぶ二辺の長さが互いに異なる断面形状に形成され、
前記発電ユニットの積層方向他端に配置される第2端部波板状セパレータは、前記冷却媒体流路を形成する第2凹部と、前記電解質・電極構造体から離間する方向に突出する第2凸状部とを交互に有し、前記第2凹部と前記第2凸状部は、前記反応ガスの流通方向に延在し、且つ断面視で前記第2凹部の底部と前記第2凸状部の頂部間を結ぶ二辺の長さが互いに異なる断面形状に形成され、
前記第1凸状部と前記第2凸状部とは、前記積層方向に沿って重なり合う位置に配置されることを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池スタックにおいて、前記反応ガス流路は、前記波板状セパレータに形成される波形状の複数の反応ガス流路溝により構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。
- 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池スタックにおいて、前記冷却媒体流路は、前記反応ガス流路の裏面形状により構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池スタックにおいて、前記(n+1)個の波板状セパレータが用いられる際、各波形状セパレータは、波状流路溝部の周期の頂部と前記頂部に隣り合う一方の谷部との間が、1/(n+1)周期で変化して設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。
