となり、送信アンテナT2/T1を挟んで、計8つの受信アンテナが配置されていると仮想的に扱うことができる。つまり、実際には4つの受信アンテナしかないにもかかわらず、ほぼ倍のアンテナ開口径を仮想的に実現することができ、角度分解能を向上させることができる。

この発明の請求項1に対応する第1の実施の形態について説明する。図1は実施の形態1に係るレーダ装置を示すもので、このレーダ装置は送信スイッチ304により切替えられる第1の送信アンテナ305(T1)と第2の送信アンテナ306(T2)を備えている。これら第1及び第2の送信アンテナ305及び306(T1、T2)の間に、複数(本例では4個)の各受信アンテナR1、R2、R3、R4からなる受信アンテナ307が配置されている。各受信アンテナR1〜R4は等間隔dをもって配置されている。これら各受信アンテナR1〜R4の両側に位置する送信アンテナ305(T1)と306(T2)は、受信アンテナ307の両端に位置する受信アンテナR1とR4との間にそれぞれD=2dの間隔が設けられている。
2D= dの自然数倍
言い換えれば、
D= (d/2)の自然数倍
となり、送信アンテナと受信アンテナの間隔を、受信アンテナ間隔の半分の自然数倍にすることが必要となる。
グレーティングローブが発生すると、メインローブのビーム幅は小さくなるが、放射パターンの落ち込み(ナル)がいくつか発生するので、所定の覆域をレベルの落ち込みなしにカバーするためには、DBFのFFT点数を増やして、ビーム指向方向の間隔を詰める必要がある。
この発明における請求項2及び請求項3に対応する第2の実施の形態について説明する。本実施の形態におけるレーダ装置の構成は、図1と同じである。以下、実施の形態1と異なる点のみ説明する。

Claims (4)
- 等間隔に配置された複数の受信アンテナ、上記受信アンテナの相対する端部に位置し、隣接する上記受信アンテナとの間隔が上記複数の受信アンテナ配列間隔の半分の3以上の自然数倍になされた2つの送信アンテナ、及び上記2つの送信アンテナから時分割で電波を送信し、目標からの反射波を上記複数の受信アンテナ毎に受信し、得られた受信信号をデジタル・ビーム・フォーミング処理する信号処理器を備え、上記信号処理器は、受信信号を時間方向の高速フーリエ変換処理をした後、空間方向の高速フーリエ変換処理を行うようにしたことを特徴とするレーダ装置。
- 等間隔に配置された複数の受信アンテナ、上記受信アンテナの相対する端部に位置し、隣接する上記受信アンテナとの間隔が上記複数の受信アンテナ配列間隔の半分になされた2つの送信アンテナ、及び上記2つの送信アンテナから時分割で電波を送信し、目標からの反射波を上記複数の受信アンテナ毎に受信し、得られた受信信号をデジタル・ビーム・フォーミング処理する信号処理器を備え、上記信号処理器は、受信信号を時間方向の高速フーリエ変換処理をした後、空間方向の高速フーリエ変換処理を行うようにしたことを特徴とするレーダ装置。
- 請求項1に記載のレーダ装置であって、上記受信アンテナと上記送信アンテナとの間にダミーアンテナを配置したことを特徴とするレーダ装置。
- 請求項3に記載のレーダ装置であって、上記ダミーアンテナと上記ダミーアンテナに隣接する上記受信アンテナとの間隔を上記複数の受信アンテナの配列間隔と等しくしたことを特徴とするレーダ装置。
