Claims (10)
- 長尺シート状の基材をその長手方向に搬送する搬送手段と、
搬送される前記基材の主面に対向配置されたノズルから塗布液を吐出して前記基材に前記塗布液を塗布する塗布手段と、
前記長手方向に直交する前記基材の幅方向における前記基材の両端部それぞれに対応して設けられて、前記基材に前記幅方向の張力を付与する1対の張力付与手段と、
前記張力付与手段を制御して前記張力を増減させる張力制御手段と
を備え、
前記張力付与手段の各々は前記基材の一方主面に当接する第1ローラと前記基材の他方主面に当接する第2ローラとで前記基材を挟持し、前記第1ローラおよび前記第2ローラのうち少なくとも一方の表面が、前記基材と当接する部位において、前記搬送方向に沿った方向成分と前記幅方向に平行で前記基材の中央部から外側に向かう方向成分とを有する移動方向に移動し、
前記張力制御手段は、前記第1ローラと前記第2ローラとの間に印加される押圧力を変化させる塗工装置。 - 前記第1ローラおよび前記第2ローラは、前記ノズルよりも前記搬送方向の下流位置で、前記基材のうち前記塗布液が塗布された領域よりも外側で前記基材を挟持する請求項1に記載の塗工装置。
- 前記張力制御手段は、前記第1ローラと前記第2ローラとの間の押圧力を、前記1対の張力付与手段の間で互いに独立して調整可能である請求項1または2に記載の塗工装置。
- 前記第1ローラおよび前記第2ローラの少なくとも一方の表面が、弾性材料により形成されている請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の塗工装置。
- 前記第1ローラと前記第2ローラとが互いに平行な回転軸を有する請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の塗工装置。
- 前記基材の搬送経路において、前記幅方向における前記基材の両端部各々の位置を検出する位置検出手段を備え、
前記張力制御手段は、前記位置検出手段による検出結果に基づき前記張力付与手段を制御する請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の塗工装置。 - 前記基材の前記一方主面側および前記他方主面側のそれぞれに対して前記ノズルが対向配置された請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の塗工装置。
- 前記搬送手段は、前記基材を略水平姿勢で搬送する請求項1ないし7のいずれかに記載の塗工装置。
- 前記搬送手段は、複数の搬送ローラの間に前記基材を掛け渡して搬送する請求項1ないし8のいずれかに記載の塗工装置。
- 前記塗布手段および前記張力付与手段が、前記搬送ローラの間の前記基材の搬送経路に沿って配置される請求項9に記載の塗工装置。
