Abstract
Description
本特許出願は、2005年6月24日付け出願の米国仮特許出願第60/693,855号(該仮特許出願の全開示内容を参照により本明細書に含める)の利点を特許請求する。
式
オーバーヘッド・メカニカルスターラー、温度計、窒素スパージ管、および凝縮器を取り付けた適切な反応フラスコに、界面活性剤〔10.00gのハイパーマー(Hypermer)(登録商標)B2465F(デラウェア州ニューキャッスルのユニケマ社)と5.00gのソルビタンモノオレエート〕を含有するパラフィン油の油相〔139.72g,エスカイド(Escaid)110オイル,テキサス州ヒューストンのエクソンモービル社〕を仕込んだ。
実施例2のコポリマーは、重合を開始させるための開始剤添加量と、重合が始まってから4時間後の開始剤添加量が、全モノマーのモル数を基準として20モルppmの過酸化ラウロイル(LP)を含有する3重量%トルエン溶液で構成されること以外は、実施例1に記載のように製造した。
実施例3のコポリマーは、重合を開始させるための開始剤添加量、重合が始まってから1時間後の開始剤添加量、および重合が始まってから4時間後の開始剤添加量が、それぞれ、全モノマーのモル数を基準として20モルppmのLP、10モルppmのLP、および10モルppmのLPを含有する3重量%トルエン溶液で構成されること以外は、実施例1に記載のように製造した。取り扱いやすくするために、有機相を、185gのエスカイド110、5.0gのソルビタンモノオレエート、および10.0gのハイパーマーB246SFに調整し、水性相に加える脱イオン水の量を62.12gに減らした。
実施例4のコポリマーは、重合を開始させるための開始剤添加量、重合が始まってから60分後の開始剤添加量、および重合が始まってから90分後の開始剤添加量が、それぞれ、全モノマーのモル数を基準として10モルppmのLP、10モルppmのLP、および20モルppmのLPを含有する3重量%トルエン溶液で構成されること以外は、実施例1に記載のように製造した。
Claims (12)
- 製紙プロセスにおける歩留りと水切れ性を改良する方法であって、その改良点が、過酸化ラウロイルを使用しないで製造される会合性ポリマーと比較して、歩留り率の少なくとも3%の増大と水切れ時間の少なくとも5%の向上を含み、このとき前記会合性ポリマーが、式
- 会合性ポリマーが、アクリルアミド、メタクリルアミド、N-ジアルキルアクリルアミド、N-アルキルアクリルアミド、N-ビニルメタアセトアミド、N-ビニルホルムアミド、N-ビニルメチルホルムアミド、N-ビニルピロリドン、およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の非イオン性モノマーを含むモノマーから作製される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 会合性ポリマーが、遊離のアクリル酸もしくはアクリル酸の塩、遊離のメタクリル酸もしくはメタクリル酸の塩、スチレンスルホン酸ナトリウム、遊離の2-アクリルアミド-2-アルキルスルホン酸もしくは2-アクリルアミド-2-アルキルスルホン酸の塩(このときアルキル基は、1〜6個の炭素原子を含有する)、またはこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のアニオン性モノマーをさらに含むモノマーから作製される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 会合性ポリマーがアニオン性であって、1.5重量%活性ポリマー溶液の6.3Hzでの貯蔵弾性率が75Paより大きい、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1種のアニオン性モノマーが、遊離のアクリル酸もしくはアクリル酸の塩、遊離のメタクリル酸もしくはメタクリル酸の塩、遊離の2-アクリルアミド-2-メチルプロパンスルホン酸もしくは2-アクリルアミド-2-メチルプロパンスルホン酸の塩、またはこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 会合性ポリマーが、アクリルアミドおよび遊離のアクリル酸もしくはアクリル酸の塩を含有する、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 第2の物質をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第2の物質が、ケイ酸質物質、有機ミクロポリマー、高分子電解質、澱粉もしくは澱粉誘導体、アルミニウム化合物、ポリ(ビニルアミン)、ゼオライト、水相溶性ポリマー、金属塩、シリコーン、および環状有機物質を含む群の少なくとも1種から選択される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 会合性ポリマーがカチオン性である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 会合性ポリマーがアニオン性モノマーとカチオン性モノマーを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ジブロックもしくはトリブロックコポリマー乳化用界面活性剤が、エチレンオキシドとヒドロキシステアリン酸とのコポリマーである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ジブロックもしくはトリブロックコポリマー乳化用界面活性剤が、エチレンオキシドとヒドロキシステアリン酸とのコポリマーである、請求項6に記載の方法。
