Abstract
【解決手段】 燃料噴射弁7は気筒上部周囲に配置され、ピストン6頂面にはキャビティ8が形成され、キャビティは、ピストン頂面の燃料噴射弁側とは反対側に偏在し、キャビティの燃料噴射弁対向壁8aは、成層燃焼時に燃料噴射弁からキャビティ内へ噴射された燃料噴霧を略気筒中心方向へ偏向する。

Claims (7)
- 気筒上部略中心に配置された点火プラグと、略縦方向に広がる比較的厚さの薄い略扇形状の燃料噴霧を気筒内へ噴射する燃料噴射弁と、ピストンとを具備し、吸気行程での燃料噴射による均質燃焼と、圧縮行程での燃料噴射による成層燃焼とを切り換えて実施する筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関において、前記燃料噴射弁は気筒上部周囲に配置され、ピストン頂面にはキャビティが形成され、前記キャビティは、前記ピストン頂面の燃料噴射弁側とは反対側に偏在し、前記キャビティの燃料噴射弁対向壁は、前記成層燃焼時に前記燃料噴射弁から前記キャビティ内へ噴射された前記燃料噴霧を略気筒中心方向へ偏向することを特徴とする筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 前記キャビティには、前記ピストン頂面の前記燃料噴射弁側へ前記燃料噴霧の投影に沿って延在する燃料溝が接続されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 前記燃料噴霧は、前記燃料噴射弁対向壁に繋がる前記キャビティの側壁に衝突した後に前記側壁に沿って前記燃料噴射弁対向壁へ向かうように、平面視において前記側壁と鋭角で衝突することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 前記燃料噴射弁対向壁に繋がる前記キャビティの側壁は、前記キャビティの底壁との間に鈍角が形成されるように傾斜しており、前記燃料噴霧は、前記側壁との衝突により前記キャビティの内方向への速度成分が付与されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 前記燃料噴射弁対向壁により略気筒中心方向へ偏向された燃料が通過する前記キャビティの底壁の一部分は、燃料噴射弁対向壁側から気筒中心側へ向けて上方へ傾斜していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 前記燃料噴霧は前記キャビティの底壁へ衝突し、前記燃料噴霧が衝突する前記底壁の一部分は、気筒中心側から燃料噴射弁対向壁側へ向けて上方へ傾斜していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 前記燃料噴射弁から前記キャビティ内へ噴射されて略気筒中心に到達する前記燃料噴霧より先に、もう一つの略縦方向に広がる比較的厚さの薄い略扇形状の燃料噴霧を略気筒中心に到達させるように、前記ピストン頂面には前記もう一つの燃料噴霧を偏向する偏向溝が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
