Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of general formula <FORM:0994614/C2/1> in which R is hydrogen or methyl and R1 is n-butyl, cyclohexyl or benzyl; and their preparation by (1) reacting N-acrylic acid- or N - crotonic acid - 2 - trifluoromethyl - 4- chloro-anilide with n-butylamine, cyclohexylamine or benzylamine at elevated temperature; or (2) heating with at least two molar proportions of n - butylamine, cyclohexylamine or benzylamine an N - carboxylic acid - 2 - trifluoromethyl - 4 - chloroanilide which can be converted into the N-acrylic or crotonic acidderivative by heating with an amine. Acid addition salts are obtained. N - Crotonic acid - 2 - trifluoromethyl - 4-chloroanilide and N - (b -bromopropionic acid)-2 - trifluoromethyl - 4 - chloroanilide are prepared from the amine and acid chlorides.
