Abstract

972,084. Doors. P. C. HENDERSON Ltd. Sept. 26, 1962 [July 25, 1961], No. 26892/61. Heading E1J. A door consists of panels 10<SP>1</SP>-10<SP>6</SP> each with interlocking flanges 11, which may have channel-shaped (Fig. 2) or semi-circular sectioned (Fig. 5 not shown) edge portions, and with longitudinal stiffening ridges 12, which panels are framed by channel-sectioned members 13-16, and stiffened by a channel-sectioned member 19. The member 19 is fixed where it crosses each panel intersection by a screw 23, into a block 22 fixed under the flanged intersection (Fig. 3). Rubber wedges 26 are slotted on to the ridges 12 and flanges 11 at the panel ends to form a weather-tight and rattle-proof joint.
