968,349. Partitioning for buildings. SHEARWATER Ltd. Oct. 5, 1962 [Oct. 20, 1961], No. 37638/61. Heading E1V. In a partition structure the junctions between external facing sheets, for example 30 and 51, Fig. 6, are concealed by trim plates 10, 20 each of which comprises a channel for receiving the edge of one sheet and an extension or flange 10e, 20e, of said channel which extends across and conceals the line of juncture of said two sheets. In Fig. 6 a pair of double-skinned panels each consisting of facing sheets 30, 31 separated by a core or infill 32, are mounted spaced apart on frame members 40, to form a cavity structure. The Specification also describes applications of the invention in similar cavity structures including a partition post in a flat run of partitioning, Fig. 5 (not shown) and at a four-way junction, Fig. 7 (not shown). In the embodiment of Fig. 3 double skinned panels are adapted to mate by means of a frame member 33 of one panel fitting within a groove 35 of an adjacent panel, the facing sheets 30, 31 being connected by the trim plates 10. In a further embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown) the invention is applied to double skinned panels which are connected by a separate key strip engaging edge grooves formed in the frame of each panel.
