966,349. Piling. TOT AANNEMING VAN WERKEN VOORHEEN H. J. NEDERHORST N.V. Jan. 29, 1963 [March 2, 1962], No. 3555/63. Heading E1H. A water and soil seal between a pile tube 1 and shoe 2 comprises ring of elastic material 5, e.g. of rubber. The pile tube is formed with a lower conical surface 4 and the shoe with an upstanding flange 6 having a recess 7. The ring 5 is placed around the surface 4 and the tube offered into the shoe 2 so that the ring is trapped between the bottom 9 of the recess 7 and the surface 4 to maintain a seal in spite of relative movement of the two members 1 and 2.
