Abstract

938,939. Circular building structures; shuttering. A. COHEN. Oct. 13, 1960 [Oct. 26, 1959], No. 35135/60. Classes 20 (1), 20 (2) and 87 (1). A substantially circular structure comprises a number of curved or flat metal &c. plates 1 formed with a pair of opposed undercut flanges 2, 2a having corresponding rounded beads 4 and grooves 5 for interlocking. The plates are held together by undercut channel members 8 and in some cases by clamping members 12 secured by nuts 17 and bolts 15. The outer faces of the flanges 2, 2a are cut away so that the angles between the plates may be varied, gaps such as 6 being formed between them. Structures referred to are hollow pillars, water tanks and shuttering for columns.
