Abstract
Litharge, zinc oxide, or barium oxide (singly or in admixture) is used as a catalyst in preparing cellular polyurethanes from polyisocyanates and a hydroxyl group containing material such as polyesters, polyesteramides and polyethers, in the optional presence of water. Ingredients which may also be present include non-ionic surface active agents, known catalysts (e.g. tertiary amines) and fire-proofing agents, e.g. b -trichloroethyl phosphate. Lists of suitable components are given. Specifications 733,624 and 783,615 are referred to.ALSO:One or more of litharge, zinc oxide or barium oxide is used as a catalyst in preparing cellular polyurethanes from polyisocyanates and a hydroxyl group containing material such as polyesters, polyesteramides and polyethers, in the optional presence of water.
