Class 131 [Also in Group XXXV] An A.C. energized hair-clipper &c. has a pair of inwardly attracted sprung armatures 24, 24<SP>1</SP> driving cutting combs or grids 27 in opposite directions. The magnet core has two sets of poles 7, 8 and the energizing coil 6 is tapped for different voltages. Movement is checked by tongues 19 on the armature springs, engaging a buffer 18 on non-magnetic pin 10.
