1,058,126. Reciprocating electric motors. R. H. GREENLY. Sept. 24, 1964 [Oct. 7, 1963], No. 39449/63. Heading H2A. [Also in Divisions B4 and H1] An electric motor comprises a casing 29 within which is secured an E-shaped coil core having polepieces 35, 36, 37, an electro-magnetic coil being wound on the core and connected by leads 43 to an A.C. supply. A cushion of foam plastics material is provided between each of the polepieces and the armature 38, and sealing grommets 42, 44 are provided. Alternatively, the armature may be connected to the casing via a pivot pin and a compression spring provided between polepiece 37 and the armature.
