Abstract

728,262. Blasting fuzes. DYNAMIT AKT.-GES, VORM. A. NOBEL & CO. Feb. 26. 1953 [March 1, 1952], No. 5427/53. Class 9(1). Electric blasting fuze contains a delay element 13 in a tube which is provided with a constriction such that the primary charge 24 may be ignited by the delay composition but the slag formed by the delay composition is prevented from ex. pulsion on detonation of the secondary charges 18, 19. The constriction may be formed in various ways such as giving the bore of the delay tube a conical shape or providing a narrow neck in the bore. The tube is formed from any suitable non-combustible material, excluding aluminium.
