Abstract

1,102,234. Grenades. RHEINMETALL G.m.b.H. 1 June, 1965 [4 June, 1964], No. 23308/65. Heading F3A. A grenade containing a smoke charge which may be ignited as in Specification 993,349 comprises a casing 1 which is produced in one piece by a deep drawing process so as to resist impact and remain pressure-tight when used over hard ground. The block 4 carrying the ignition means being screw-threaded in the casing. Conical ducts 8 traversing the block 4 are closed by diaphragms 9 of shellac-impregnated material adapted to rupture at a given internal pressure to afford passage for the smoke from charge 2.
