Abstract

592,689. Reciprocating pumps. GAME, C. May 25, 1945, No. 13165. [Class 102 (i)] A pump barrel a is attached to a cap h of a container and the pump piston b is carried by a tube c that extends through the cap h and is fitted with an atomizer m. The bore of the cap is chamfered at n and the bore in the pump barrel has longitudinal passages p connecting with the chamfer and the interior of the pump barrel so that any liquid adhering to the tube c is scraped off and drawn through the passages p. Alternatively the cap may have an upwardly projecting bead forming a recess around the tube. The chamfer n may be formed in the pump barrel when a cap is not provided. The passages p may be formed on the tube c.
