Abstract
445,893. Valve amplifying circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Electra House, Victoria Embankment, and ROUND, H. J., Westfield, Muswell Hill, both in London. Oct. 19, 1934, Nos. 30046 and 30047. [Class 40 (v)] In order to secure a straight - line response, the anode circuit of a triode valve 4, Fig. 2, includes the internal resistance of an unsaturated diode or triode valve 10 having a power law substantially the same as the valve 4. The input voltage is applied to the first valve, or, as shown in Fig. 3, it may be shared at 15, 16 between the two valves. The output is taken from the second valve, or, as shown, from across the two cathodes 3, 12. In Fig. 4, a saturated diode 7 is included in the anode circuit of a two-grid valve such as the pentode 21, the two valves having substantially the same power-law ; or the diode may be replaced by a saturated pentode.
