361,721. Vehicle wheels. BUDD WHEEL CO., 25th Street, Philadelphia, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Budd, E. G. ; 25th Street, Philadelphia, U.S.A.) Jan. 29, 1931, No. 2949. Convention date, Feb. 7, 1930. [Class 144 (i).] In a built-up metal wheel, the outer ends of the tubular spokes 3 are fitted with metal caps 5 having closed tops 8 and projecting flanged portions 7 which are welded to the rim 4. The portions 7 are preferably formed by folding, as shown, so as to produce a double thickness of metal on the flange.
