Abstract
Nickel-chromium alloys suitable for electrical heating elements &c., and containing more than 60 per cent of nickel and more than 10 per cent but less than 40 per cent of chromium, are produced by melting the metals in hydrogen and adding sufficient aluminium to raise the resistance to oxidation, the proportion in the product being not greater than 1 per cent. The alloys may contain also tungsten and molybdenum as described in Specification 293,727, [Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.].
