Abstract
346,643. Vehicle wheels. DURET, A., St. Pierre-de-Jards, near Reuilly, Indre, France. Aug. 15, 1930, No. 24491. [Class 144 (i).] A road wheel for heavy vehicles has spokes of flat iron bent to conform to the inside of the felloe, and at the ends of this central portion bent inwards to converge to the hub. Adjacent spokes are secured together, as at 14, and their ends are formed with lateral projections 18. 19 which fit longitudinal mortises 4, 4<1> in the nave. Hoops shrunk over the projections secure the spokes to the nave. The felloe is in sections, as usual, secured to the spokes at 15, and clamped by the usual tyre 17.
