302,249. Soc. Anon. Commentry- Fourchambault et Decazeville. Dec. 12, 1927, [Convention date]. Alloys.-A corrosion-resisting alloy comprises 21-49 per cent of nickel, 16-25 per cent of chromium, 1-5 per cent of manganese, up to 1 per cent of carbon, and 2-8 per cent of tungsten, or 2-5 per cent of molybdenum, or 2-8 per cent of tungsten and molybdenum together, the balance being iron. In some cases there may be added 0.2-1 per cent of vanadium, or 0.1-0.2. per cent of titanium, or 0.1-1 per cent of vanadium and titanium together; up to 10 per cent of cobalt may also be added. Specifications 140,507, 140,508, 159,492, and 159,857 are referred to. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the alloy may contain 20-50 per cent of nickel, 10-25 per cent of chromium, and 0.5-8 per cent of tungsten or 0.2-5 per cent of molybdenum, or 0.2-8 per cent of tungsten and molybdenum together. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
