Abstract

218,860. Hamilton, W. H. W. Aug. 7, 1923. Razors.-A razor, which can be converted into a safety razor for use in either hand, comprises a. resilient holder 4, having spaced sides 3 supporting a removable blade 1 longitudinally thereof, and a guard 13 having its shank 12 pivotally supported within the bifurcated shank 5 of the holder and movable transversely on its pivot to position the guard against either side of the blade. The guard is pivoted on a bushing 10 of the pivot 7 by which the holder is pivoted in the handle 9, the sides of the bushing spacing the arms 6 of the shank 5. The guard is held to the blade by one or other of two lateral hook extensions 16 which surround and slidably grip the adjacent end of the blade.
