Abstract

1529540 Feeding animals LOHMANNAPPARATEBAU GmbH 20 May 1977 [20 Nov 1976] 21337/77 Heading AIM A conveyor chain 4 conveys feed along a supply conduit 2 having a continuous slot 3 discharging into a trough 11, an inverted channel 5 enclosing the supply conduit. The trough 11 can be raised from a feeding position to a loading position in which the flat base 8 of the trough engages the ends of side walls 6 of the channel 5 and raises it to a desired height so that an adjusted volume is enclosed between the bottom of the conduit, the side walls 6 and the bottom of the trough and is filled with fodder when the conveyor chain is operated. A uniform and adjustable quantity of feed is thus supplied to the trough.
