Abstract

1498849 Sliding door lock STREBOR DIECASTING CO Ltd 18 May 1976 [22 May 1975] 22060/75 Heading E2A A lock for sliding doors comprises a casing housing a hook bolt B' actuated from the outside of the door by a barrel lock 1 having a blade 2 extending from the barrel through the door frame and connected via a sleeve 3 to the barrel C' of a snib lock. Rotation of the knob 7 of the snib lock through 180‹ causes slide 11 to engage lug 6 on sleeve 3 so preventing rotation of blade 2, hook bolt B' and barrel locks 1 and C'. With the snib lock in the disengaged position the hook bolt may be moved by either key barrels. However the key of inside barrel C' can only be removed when the hook bolt is in the locked position.
