Abstract

1493279 Adjustable door sill PEASE CO 25 July 1975 [26 July 1974] 31283/75 Heading E1J An adjustable door-sill comprises a moulded base 30 having a groove 38 and drainage channels 52, a metal tread portion 34 with a hook-shaped portion 59 to fit under the front of the base and a U-shaped portion ending in an upturned rib 64, a threshold 32 with ribs 74, 76, 78 received in the groove and actuators 36. The groove 38 has undercut portions 44 and slots 50 which accommodate the actuators 36. These have ramps 98, 100 which co-operate with ramps on the dependent ribs 74, 76 of the threshold so that height of the threshold may be adjusted to correspond to the bottom of the door. The dependent ribs 76, 78 of the threshold together with the upturned rib 64 form a labyrinth seal. The base, threshold and actuators may all be of plastics material.
