Abstract
1454333 Settable composition SET PRODUCTS Inc 11 Jan 1974 [15 Jan 1973 23 Oct 1973] 01486/74 Heading C1H A matrix forming composition capable when mixed with water of setting to a solidified mass comprising by weight: (a) 30-66% basic material selected from dead burned magnesite, dead burned magnesia, dead burned dolomite, and/or dead burned aluminates of alkali metals or alkaline earth metals; (b) 25- 59% water soluble monoammonium phosphate (c) 1-27% water soluble polyphosphate. Suitable polyphosphates are sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium acid pyrophosphate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate or mixtures thereof. The matrix forming composition may be mixed with up to 85% of a filler selected from dolomitic limestone, silica, zircon, zirconia, fused alumina, kyanite, aluminosilicates, rutile, feldspar, granites, chromites, ilmenite, barite, iron particles, limestone, blast furnace slag, fly ash and mixtures thereof.
