Abstract

1389731 Resilient mountings CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG 28 April 1972 [3 May 1971] 19754/72 Heading F2S A mounting for a vehicle engine has a rubber body 1, with recesses 15, between an inner sleeve 2 and an outer ring 3, there being a beading 5 at each end of the body, supported on a face 4 of the ring and ending in a tapering collar 6. Compression by nut 9 and bolt 7 between two discs 8, Fig. 4, indicates how the beadings deform under stress. The body 1 and sleeve 2 and ring 3 may be divided on a transverse median plane or, as shown, the body 1 may be divided into two parts with interfitting portions 11, 12 with an interlocking rib 13. There may also be ribs 14 engaging recesses in the ring faces 4.
