Abstract

1377416 Injection moulds SOC GIR P I (SOC PLAST-INDUSTRIE-GIR) 2 June 1972 [3 June 1971] 25895/72 Heading B5A An injection mould 11 has a cylindrical passage 18 connecting a feed channel 16 to a mould cavity 14 and a displaceable valve stem 19 for blocking or opening the passage 18. The volume of the passage 18 may be equal to the amount of shrinkage of the moulding matrial, the end of the valve stem 19 being complementary in shape to, the rest of the mould cavity. The valve stem may be operated by an hydraulic piston 22 and cylinder 23. The mould may comprise a plurality of moulding cavities (Fig. 4, not shown). In Fig. 5 (not shown), a single injection unit (17) is mounted on rails 31 for feeding a plurality of moulds 11.
