Abstract

1346179 Suspended ceilings G L PLESSY 7 Dec 1970 [8 Dec 1969] 58090/70 Heading E1W A multiplicity of cells is formed by vertically suspended panels 1 each delimiting a side of a triangular, rectangular or hexagonal cell and each formed of a sound absorbing agglomerated rockwool sheet 2 at least partially surrounded by a channel section frame 3 with two vertical sides 4, 10. The sides 4, 10 have hook-like arrangements 6 which engage, in one embodiment, in slots parallel to the edges of triangular, rectangular or hexagonal elements 7 secured to hangers 12 by nuts 14, 15. In further embodiments, see Figs. 10, 12 (not shown), the hooks engage over or in apertures in tubular elements of triangular, rectangular or hexagonal section. Horizontal panels may be laid on the top edges of the panels 2 to form a box like structure open at its lower face.
