Abstract

1300738 Printing apparatus RICOH KK 2 Dec 1969 [30 Dec 1968] 58676/69 Heading B6C An offset lithographic printing machine performs a preset sequence of operations when actuated by a single control. A printing plate 19 is fed to a plate cylinder 15 and etched, while inking rollers are set in rotation, then are tripped into contact with the plate cylinder, which they ink. A preset number of copies to be produced is set, e.g. by automatic reading of a code on the printing plate, and when the appropriate number of copy sheets 20 have been fed through the machine the feeding of copy, sheets is halted, the printing plate is removed from the plate cylinder and the blanket cylinder 16 is washed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification No. 1,244,854.
