Abstract

Air, moistening and washing.-Apparatus for removing dust from and moistening the air supply of internal-combustion engines, more particularly for use on tractors, comprises a receptacle 1 containing water having an air guide 10 buoyantly supported on floats 13 so that air is drawn through the water in the receptacle a fixed distance below its surface. The air guide 10 carries a. deflector 14 and is rectangular in form and carries guides which engage fins 5 on the central air inlet 3. The outlet 16 is the full width of the cover and connected to the suction of the engine.
