Abstract
1295169 Ladle nozzles VESUVIUS CRUCIBLE CO 29 Oct 1970 [30 Oct 1969] 51463/70 Heading F4B A plate 17 with an orifice 19 is supported at the mouth of a nozzle 16 of the heat insulating refractory secured in the refractory lining 13 of a bottom pour tundish or ladle. The orifice 19 may converge downwardly or have a constant diameter, and its outlet is less than the bore of the nozzle body and discharge tube. The plate 17 is supported in the nozzle body at its edge portion only, and its thickness does not exceed 1/3 of its diameter.
