[Also in Division B6] In an apparatus for the continuous treatment of sheeting by means of rollers, e.g. embossing, laminating, heat sealing or bonding, the sheeting 4 is held on a plurality of rollers 1 which rotate in opposite directions to their neighbours on parallel axes by engagement between endless belts, 2, 3, which are each located, during part of their travel over a sinuous path between the rollers, in rectangular cross-sectional grooves (10), Fig. 2 (not shown), in the circumferential peripheries of the rollers. The grooves (10) may be provided one adjacent each end of the rollers, a corresponding pair of belts 3 being of a thickness equal to the depth of the grooves. The rollers may have patterned surfaces, e.g. for embossing, and have built-in heaters 7, infra-red heaters 8, and a cooling roller 9. The belts may have a non-slip patterned surface.
