Abstract

1,248,551. Two-part couplings. HEGO ELECTRIC G.m.b.H. 3 Feb., 1970, No. 5082/70. Heading H2E. In an electrical socket contact 1 made of sheet metal two resilient tongues 3, 4 connected by a web 7 integral with a connecting tag 8 are sprung towards each other by a spring 5 which is located in a cut-away portion 6 of the tongues 3, 4. The tongues 3, 4 are splayed at their free ends to facilitate entry of a flat pin and their contact areas are gold-plated at 9. A screw terminal may be fitted on the connecting tag 8; alternatively the tag can be used for push-on or solder connection or for crimping to a wire.
