Abstract

1,216,283. Paster tabs. DENNISON MFG. CO. Ltd. 16 May, 1969 [17 May, 1968], No. 25043/69. Heading B5N. A paster tab suitable for keeping rolls of newsprint from unwinding is made by applying to one side of a paper strip 1, two strips 2, 3 of double stick tape along the margins thereof, leaving a space therebetween and a third strip 4 of double stick tape to the central portion of the other side of the paper strip 1 opposite said space. The layers are laminated between rolls and from the laminated strip, T-shaped tabs having a central portion 21 and wing portions 22, 23 are died out. The double-stick tape comprises a polyethylene terephthalate film coated on both sides with a coating of pressure-sensitive adhesive, the outer coatings being covered with a release material, e.g. glassine.
