Abstract

1,178,676. Injection moulds. BRITISH UNITED SHOE MACHINERY CO. Ltd. 23 Feb., 1967 [23 Feb., 1966], No.7889/66. Heading B5A. When an injection nozzle 80 is moved away from engagement in a recess 71 in a block 69, the block 69 is moved upwardly by springs 78 thereby enlarging the cubic capacity of the sprue bore 50 and providing a space to receive any plastics material expelled from the mould cavity. The mould may be used for moulding shoe soles, the sole mould member being shown at 38.
