Abstract

116,839. Brown, H. F. July 14, 1917. Addition to 112,653. Gases, treating with liquids.-In apparatus for cooling, moistening, and purifying gases as set out in the parent Specification means are provided for preventing the liquid from being entrained with the gas comprising flanges d, e on the sprinkler arms a which moisten the plates c between which the gas passes. The flange e covers a number of passages between the plates and prevents the air from passing between these plates until most of the superfluous liquid has drained off the lower edges of the plates. The construction permits of a greater speed for the rotating sprinkler arm.
