Abstract

1,098,998. Packages for bottles. MEAD CORPORATION. Oct. 5, 1965 [Oct. 30, 1964], No. 42275/65. Heading B8C. A bottle carrier, Fig. 1, has interlocking endwall panels 53, 54, 57, 58. The carrier is foldedup from the blank of Fig. 4, bottom panels 30, 29 and the end wall panels being engaged together by tongue-and-slot connections. The bottle necks are engaged ina top panel 1 in openings 2-7 which are provided with radial cuts 8. The sides of the bottle bottoms, are located in apertures 23-28 and are separated from each other by tabs 45, 46, 49, 50 which are folded up out of the base. A panel 65, joined to one of the base panels 30, separates the bottles in a lengthwise direction and carries notches 67, 68 in which the interlocked end wall. panels are engaged. The top panel of the carrier is also provided with finger holes 10.
