102,494. Bard-Parker Co., (Assignees of Parker, M.). Nov. 27. 1915, [Convention date]. Thin-blade handles; fixing by dovetail and grooved members and lap joints.-The blade of a scalpel, razor, knife, &c. is removably secured to the handle 8 by means of a keyhole-shaped aperture 13 in the blade engaging a projection 10 formed on an extension 9 of the handle. In order to secure the blade in position, the narrow part of the slot 13 is caused to engage a grooved portion 11 of the projection 10, and the blade is then pressed towards the handle until the inner end of the blade snaps into place. A projection 15 enables the blade to be bent so as to permit it to clear the end of the projection 10, thus allowing the blade to slide off the handle.
