Abstract

1,012,589. Discharge of powder from a hopper. SANDOZ PRODUCTS Ltd. June 17, 1964, No. 25059/64. Heading B8S. The discharge of powder from hopper 11 is facilitated by the introduction of hollow funnel 19 connected by hollow tube 20 to the outside atmosphere, the material falling past the rim of the funnel and being discharged at 12 into the apertures 14 of disc 13 which rotates so that each charge of powder is pressed into a tablet at 14. Funnel 19 permits the air pressure within the powder to remain atmospheric and is adjustable in position at 23.
