Abstract

Profile for ratchet point for use on neck of bottle in conjunction with a screw-on safety cap comprising a ring with elements which are ruptured where the cap is just removed. The top part of the point is formed as a part of the surface of a sphere. This surface is delimited by lines of junction with the surface of the neck of the bottle, with the radial blocking face of the point and with the vertical, circular arc outermost surface of the point. The shape of this point helps eliminate accidental rupture of the cap ring during fitting and given improved ratchet action.
