Description

The present invention relates to a hearing device having a housing and a coil arranged in the housing for wireless transmission. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method for controlling a hearing device. The term hearing device is understood in particular to mean a hearing device. But there are also headsets, headphones and the like under this term.

Hearing aids are usually switched off and on by means of appropriate switches or buttons. Suitable switches for this purpose are sliding, rotary or battery switch. However, these switching elements require space in the device, which is often not available because of the small size of the device. In addition, a problem with a battery-operated switch is that it may no longer be possible to operate it with an audio shoe attached.

To avoid voluminous switches, there are also hearing aid devices with integrated reed contacts, so that the hearing aids can be switched off and on with permanent magnets from the outside. The magnet used in each case for switching is located, for example, in a storage box of the hearing aid. When not in use, the device is placed in this box and switched off.

From the DE 31 09 049 C2 is a hearing aid with a insensitive to external impairments reed contact switch known.

The object of the present invention is also to propose a non-contact switch-off possibility for a hearing device, wherein optionally a further reduction of the hearing device is possible. According to the invention This object is achieved by a hearing device comprising a housing and a coil disposed in the housing, and a current detection device connected to the coil for detecting a current flowing through the coil and a resonant circuit, which is located outside of the housing and by means of the coil Vibrations can be excited, the current flowing to the vibration excitation by the coil current is detected by the current detection device for controlling the hearing.

Moreover, the invention provides a method of controlling a hearing device by moving a resonant circuit relative to a coil of the hearing device, detecting a current through the coil, which serves to excite the resonant circuit and which varies in dependence on the distance between the coil and the resonant circuit, and Controlling the hearing device in dependence on the detected current.

The invention is based on the idea that the principle used in anti-theft alarm systems in department stores to electronically secure goods is used for switching or controlling hearing devices. The anti-theft alarm system triggers an alarm when a product label containing a printed circuit of an inductor and a capacitor passes the output. The resonant circuit formed by the inductance and the capacitor is precisely tuned to a transmitting coil located at the output. The electronic label deprives the transmitter energy, which has an increase in power consumption in the transmitter result. The current change is evaluated and leads to the alarm triggering. Advantageously, this principle is used for wireless switching or controlling the hearing device. In particular, in hearing aids can be used on electronic components that are already integrated into the hearing aid anyway. Especially in this case, a reduction in the size of the hearing aid can be achieved because of special circuit components can be dispensed with on and off in the hearing aid.

Preferably, the coil of the hearing device is a transceiver coil for communication with a further hearing device. In particular, the transceiver coil is the inductive element that is installed in each hearing aid in the case of binaural supply, so that these two hearing aids can communicate with one another.

The current detection device may be part of an integrated circuit of the hearing device. This also saves space in the hearing device.

Moreover, it is advantageous if the hearing device has a switching element for switching on / off the hearing device, wherein the switching element is switched in dependence on the detected current. In this case, the switching element, the hearing device off when the detected current exceeds a predetermined first threshold. Furthermore, the switching element can switch on the hearing device if the detected current falls below a predetermined second threshold value.

In addition to this pure switching on and off, the oscillating circuit circuit can also be used to switch the hearing device. For example, a hearing aid can be switched to another hearing aid program. In a further refinement, the current intensity of the current flowing through the coil is detected quantitatively and a parameter of the hearing device is controlled depending on the current intensity. For example, it is possible to control the volume or the amplification of a hearing device by bringing the resonant circuit into the desired distance from the hearing device for a specific time. Thus, therefore, a continuous control of the hearing by wireless technology is possible.

According to an advantageous development of the hearing device according to the invention, the oscillating circuit circuit is integrated in a storage box for the hearing device. In this case, the hearing device is switched off when it is in the storage box and is not needed. In this way it can be avoided that the user forgets to switch off the hearing device when not in use.

The present invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows a block diagram of a hearing aid according to the invention.

The embodiments described in more detail below represent preferred embodiments of the present invention.

The circuit diagram reproduced in the FIGURE shows, inter alia, the basic components of a hearing aid. Accordingly, a microphone M picks up the sound and outputs a corresponding input signal to a preamplifier VV. This preamplifier VV includes an A / D converter and a voltage regulator. Another input source is a telecoil TS, which receives inductive signals from telephones.

The output signal of the preamplifier is forwarded to a digital signal processing SV with clocked output stage. This is powered by a battery B together with the preamplifier with energy. Furthermore, the signal processing SV receives a control signal from a controller VC for volume adjustment. In addition, the digital signal processing SV can also be controlled by a situation key ST. This can be switched depending on the hearing situation in a corresponding hearing aid program. In addition, the digital signal processing SV can be supplied with programming data via a programming socket PB. The output signal of the digital signal processing is finally supplied to a receiver H.

Furthermore, the hearing aid device shown by way of example in FIG. 1 is equipped with a transceiver coil TC, with which communication with, for example, another hearing device is possible. The evaluation or control of the transceiver coil TC via a wireless signal processing WS, which is connected to the central signal processing SV. The radio transmission takes place at a certain frequency.

According to the invention, a resonant circuit RK consisting of an inductance L and a capacitance C, tuned to the operating frequency of the transmission system with the transceiver coil TC in the immediate vicinity of the transmitter, ie. H. brought the transceiver coil TC. This deprives the transmitter of energy. This physical effect is now used to turn off the hearing aid in a defined manner.

The transceiver coil TC thus receives the additional functionality of a transmitter for an RF switch. The necessary detector for detecting the current or the current through the transceiver coil TC is here integrated into the wireless signal processing WS for the sake of simplicity. The detector can thus be used together with the transceiver coil TC and the resonant circuit RK as an RF switch.

The resonant circuit RK is conveniently integrated into the storage box of the hearing aid. Then, when an on-hook hearing aid is placed in the box, it is turned off by utilizing the above-described effect. If you take the device out of the box again, the transceiver coil will no longer be deprived of energy so that the hearing aid is automatically switched on again. When switched off, the monitoring circuit requires only a small standby current.

Usually, in the wireless communication between two hearing aids (e 2 e wireless) already an evaluation circuit integrated into the wireless signal processing WS for detecting the transmission current flowing through the transceiver coil TC. This allows calibration of the current through the coil. This current detection unit can now also be used for current detection when switching with the external resonant circuit RK, so that no additional coil and hardly any additional evaluation circuit elements are necessary for this inventive wireless switching. The additional elements necessary for the switching can be integrated into the existing IC of the hearing aid device.

Since the breaker only requires a resonant circuit as an actuator, no separate power supply for the actuator is necessary. In addition, the resonant circuit causes little cost.

If the RF switch according to the invention is used for switching the hearing aid on and off, then a magnetic switch can be used for switching, for example, in a telephone program, since the two switches do not influence each other. The interference immunity to other electronic components can be ensured by correspondingly high frequency selectivity, namely by the quality of the resonant circuit is chosen suitably high.

The RF switch can save a mechanical switch, which usually reduces the frequency of repairs. In addition, the saving leads to smaller devices, which is why the RF switch is particularly advantageous for in-ear hearing aids with e 2 e technology.
