Abstract

A separator drum for a separator having a vertical rotational axis. The separator drum includes an upper drum section, a lower drum section, and a screw connection formed between the upper end lower drum sections without a locking ring.     f) wherein the drum upper part is conical on its outside and inside and merges in its lower region into a portion (4) which is cylindrical at least on its outer periphery,
    g) wherein the drum lower part is conical on its outside and inside and merges in its upper region into a portion (5) which is cylindrical on its outside and inside,
    h) wherein the drum upper part (1) has a lower projection (15) which engages on the outside behind an upper annular collar (16) on the drum lower part (2) to form the clamping element,
    i) wherein an external thread (12) is formed on the outer periphery of the cylindrical portion (4) of the drum upper part (1) and an internal thread (13) is formed on the inner periphery of a cylindrical portion (5) of the drum lower part (2), with the result that the drum upper part is screwed into the drum lower part, wherein the projection (15) and the annular collar (16) are situated above the screw connection region.
  2. Separator drum according to Claim 1, characterized in that the surfaces of the drum upper part (1) and of the drum lower part (2) which bear against one another in the region of the clamping element are conical.
  3. Separator drum according to Claim 1, characterized in that the surfaces of the drum upper part (1) and of the drum lower part (2) which bear against one another in the region of the clamping element are cylindrical.
  4. Separator drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the projection (15) and the annular collar (16) are conical or cylindrical in the region of their mutually facing surfaces (16, 17; 18, 19).
  5. Separator drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a piston valve (6) is guided in an axially displaceable manner in the cylindrical portion (5) of the drum lower part (2) and serves to open and to close solids discharge openings (8) in the drum lower part (2).
  6. Separator drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that means for applying or attaching a tool for screwing the drum upper part (1) to the drum lower part (2) are formed on the drum upper part (1).
