Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a one-piece personal protective suit for protection against chemical, bacteriological and / or radioactive media, which is connectable via a connecting line with an air supply unit.
In known one-piece protective suits the air supply of the person to be protected is carried out either by means of bottled air or by means of portable blower whose suction side is connected to a filter port and the pressure side via a connecting line to the interior of the protective suit. In this case, the air flow is blown through a corresponding, arranged at the back of the protective suit connection in the protective suit and enters the hood-shaped head part. The injected air creates an overpressure throughout the protective suit, which prevents the ingress of toxins even in the event of any leaks in the suit.
In order for the person to be protected to be supplied with defined air for breathing, the entire head part is made helmet-like by means of stiffening elements or the overpressure in the protective suit is chosen so that the air flow inflates the head part into a deployed state.
A disadvantage of the known personal protective suits in particular that relatively large amounts of air must be injected into the respective protective suit, which makes depending on Luftversorgungseinheit- either a more frequent, very expensive change of oxygen or air bottles or the use of relatively heavy and expensive blower ,
The invention has for its object to provide a personal protective suit, in whose intended use smaller amounts of air can be injected into the suit, as this is required for comparable known protective suits.
This object is achieved by the features of
The invention is based essentially on the idea of double-walled form the hood-shaped head part at least in some areas and to use the resulting gap as an air duct, which specifically supplies the fresh air needed for breathing the facial area of the person to be protected. The air duct is connected via a connecting line to the air supply unit and has in the facial area of the person to be protected on air outlet openings, via which the fresh air preferably exits above or laterally from the face.
Since the air is stowed within the air channel through the relatively small air outlet openings, resulting in the air duct overpressure, which leads to an inflation of the existing inner and outer hood hood-shaped head part. The inflated hooded head portion therefore forms in conjunction with the visor-like, e.g. window made of a plastic plate a self-supporting headboard, within which the head of the person to be protected is preferably freely movable.
It has proven to be advantageous if the inner and the outer hood are connected to each other such that at least three substantially mutually parallel air channels emerge, which extend from the back of the head above the skull of the person to be protected and end at the air outlet openings ,
The personal protective suit according to the invention has proven itself especially in protective suits that can be used once, because the hood system can be produced very inexpensively and thus the price of the personal protective suit according to the invention can be kept low compared with known disposable suits.
If it concerns a protective suit which can only be used once, a mechanical connection for the detachable connection of the head part to the connecting line of the air supply unit should be provided on the hood-shaped head part in order to be able to use the air supply unit several times.
