  1. A device (1) for applying a substance on keratinous fibers, in particular eyelashes or eyebrows, comprising:
    - a cake of substance (P); and
    - an applicator (10; 40; 60; 80) comprising:
    - a handle member (11) having a longitudinal axis (K); and
    - an applicator element comprising a support (13) and bristles (15),
    the support (13) being flexible so as to be capable of deforming about at least one axis that is substantially perpendicular to said longitudinal axis (K),
    device characterized by the fact that the support comprises at least two portions (13a) each comprising bristles extending from at least one side of the support and a preferred deformation zone (13b) between said portions, and/or
    the applicator comprises a moving element (42; 61) capable of co-operating with the support (13) to change its shape, the support comprising bristles extending from at least one side of the support.
  2. A device according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the support comprises at least two portions (13a) each comprising bristles extending from at least one side of the support and a preferred deformation zone (13b) between said portions.
  3. A device according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that the preferred deformation zone (13b) comprises a reduction in section.
  4. A device according to claim 2 or claim 3, characterized by the fact that the preferred deformation zone (13b) comprises a hinge part made integrally by molding with said portions.
  5. A device according to any one of claims 2 to 4, characterized by the fact that the preferred deformation zone (13b) comprises a hinge part made of a material which is different from a material of said portions.
  6. A device according to any one of claim 2 to 5, characterized by the fact that said portions (13a) support bristles (15) and characterized by the fact that the preferred deformation zones (13b) do not carry any bristles.
  7. A device according to any one of claim 2 to 6, characterized by the fact that the number of said portions (13a) lies in the range 2 to 15, in particular in the range 3 to 8.
  8. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the applicator comprises a moving element (42; 61) capable of co-operating with the support (13) to change its shape, the support comprising bristles extending from at least one side of the support.
  9. A device according to claim 8, characterized by the fact that the moving element (42; 61) is capable of sliding in or on the support (13).
  10. A device according to claim 8 or claim 9, characterized by the fact that the moving element (61) is capable of co-operating with an outside surface of the support so as to change its shape.
  11. A device according to claim 8 or claim 9, characterized by the fact that the support comprises an internal housing (41) in which the moving element (42) can be engaged.
  12. A device according to any one of claims 8 to 11, characterized by the fact that the moving element (42) presents shape memory.
  13. A device according to claim 12, characterized by the fact that the applicator comprises a handle member (11) connected to the support (13), and characterized by the fact that the moving element can move relative to the handle member and to the support, the applicator being configured in such a manner that the shape of the moving element (42) changes when the moving element is moved relative to the handle member and to the support.
  14. A device according to claim 13, characterized by the fact that the handle member (11) is elongate along a substantially rectilinear axis, and characterized by the fact that the moving element (42) is capable of taking up a shape that is substantially rectilinear when it is in or on the handle member and a shape that is curvilinear when it is in or on the support.
  15. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support presents an outside section that is substantially constant.
  16. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that at least a part of the support is made of a material that is elastically deformable, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer.
  17. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support has at least one rigid portion (13a).
  18. A device according to claim 17, characterized by the fact (13a) that said rigid portion supports bristles (15).
  19. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support (13), when at rest, extends along a longitudinal axis that is substantially rectilinear.
  20. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support (13), when at rest, extends along a longitudinal axis (A; B) that is not rectilinear, in particular is curvilinear.
  21. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the bristles (15) do not extend all around the support, in particular extend from one side only of the support.
  22. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the applicator comprises a handle (11) member and characterized by the fact that the support (13) is connected to the handle member via an end that is fixed axially relative to the handle member.
  23. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support includes holes (20) each receiving a tuft of bristles.
  24. A device according to claim 23, characterized by the fact that the holes are in alignment on the support, disposed in a staggered configuration or disposed in at least two parallel rows.
  25. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the applicator element has at least one tuft of bristles (15) held in a hole (20) of the support by deforming the hole after the bristles have been inserted therein.
  26. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the applicator element has at least one tuft of bristles held on the support by a staple, in particular held in a blind hole of the support.
  27. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the applicator element includes at least one tuft of bristles held on the support by locally melting at least one of the support and/or the bristles.
  28. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the applicator element includes at least one bristle held to the support by the support being overmolded on the bristle.
  29. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support includes at least one blind hole (24) associated with a through hole receiving a tuft of bristles.
  30. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support includes at least one hole (20) containing a tuft of bristles (15) and presenting a cross-section that is not constant between its two ends.
  31. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the applicator element includes bristles (15) of length measured between the support and their free end, greater than or equal to 3.5 mm, in particular greater than or equal to 8 mm and less than or equal to 15 mm.
  32. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support is substantially free of any projecting elements on a side opposite from the bristles.
  33. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support has projecting elements (90) on a side opposite from the bristles (15).
  34. A device according to , characterized by the fact that the applicator includes a handle member (11) of elongate shape, having a longitudinal axis, and characterized by the fact that the applicator element includes bristles (15) extending substantially perpendicularly to said longitudinal axis.
  35. A device according to any preceding claim, characterized by the fact that the support presents at least one opening, in particular in its center.
  36. A device according to claim 35, characterized by the fact that the support is annular in shape, in particular substantially rectangular or circular.
  37. A device according to any preceding claim, including a box containing at least one housing for receiving the cake of substance (P) and a housing for receiving the applicator.
  38. A method of applying a substance to keratinous fibers, in particular eyelashes or eyebrows, comprising:
    - loading an applicator element comprising a deformable support (13) according to any one of claims 1 to 36 with substance taken from a cake of substance; and
    - changing the shape of the applicator element by deforming the support prior to applying the substance to the keratinous fibers.
  39. A method according to claim 38, characterized by the fact that the applicator element is loaded with substance by pressing the finger on the support of the applicator element so as to cause it to take up the shape of the cake of substance.
  40. A method according to claim 38 or claim 39, characterized by the fact that the shape of the applicator is changed after being loaded with substance by releasing the applicator element, the applicator element returning elastically to an initial shape.
  41. A method according to claim 38, characterized by the fact that the shape of the applicator element is changed after being loaded with substance by acting on a moving element (42; 61).
